I would like to know what peruvians think of Fujimori and his corrupted government and the fact he may return to Peru.

Interesting question...I guess you're peruvian. It will be very interesting to see what happens if he comes back. I guess some (if not many) still support him as during his government nearly all terrorists were put in jail. They were tough times and only people who lived in Peru through the 80's and 90's can understand that Fujimori may have been corrupted (and which president hasn't!) but he did a lot of good to the country. My guess? He will end up free. If you don't believe me, just answer this question: who is currently Peru's president? Alan Garcia! The most corrupted president in our era and no one could prove anything against him and he is now president again. |
