Travel Info Or which neighboring country is our worst nightmare and why? Travel Tips No one really, this is kind of a silly question to ask. We have had problems with Ecuador and Chile but thank God we know talk over our disagreements and not fight. Right now we have a problem with Chile and our land/sea limits but things will solve, we need to work in peace with our neighbours not make war to them. In any war, it's the people who suffer, not the politicians who declare it. Others No way, not ecuador, neither Brazil cuz brazilians even thought theyre white theyre really humble as well as peruvians. I'd say chile my man. Peruvians think of them as "racists", and they have some background for their story. Type in youtube "El peruano", youll see how a chilean comedian makes fun of a peruvian inmigrant, oh boy if you could understand spanish, you would hate chile too. The sad thing is that that has been broadcasted and its been in a public place, 1000 chilens make fun of 1 peruvian. So yeah, cuz of war too, chile beat peru in the chilean-peruvian war or something and took their best ship and still keep it as a trophy. They claim "el pisco" was invented by them, when there is a state in peru called "Pisco". And many other things, peruvians usually have this "hatred" towards chile only b/c they started. If you undestand spanish, go to latinchat.com you'd be listening a bunch of guys from chile insulting peruvians and call em "indians", while theres all kind of races in peru. And well peruvians have to reply back calling them "rotos" cuz spaniards made people from chile sit on spiky chairs as a punishment or something like that. Go latinchat.com its really interesting. Not all people from chile are like that thought. But yeah the average peruvian has some resentment or unsympathy with chile. I don't think it's a silly question. I would also say: Chile and Ecuador are the Peruvian Historic Enemies. It's true that many Peruvians hate chileans and ecuatorian people and viceversa for historic reasons. Peru is OK with Ecuador and Chile and right now they can't be considered as nightmares. But is a fact that Peru has to buy new weapons each time Chile buys to keep balance in the region. Even if we are now in peace times, it is known that Chile will face and is facing energy problems, so is a potential enemy of Peru and Bolivia. We don't know what will happen in the next 20 or 30 years when water and energy as natural gas will be missing, so Peru has to be prepared. Meanwhile we just to think in trade and economic growth, and in non agresive solutions to our problems. Wars only drive us to missery and poverty. |
