During the 80's we faced terrorism. We had no electricity for days, no water for days and we learned to survive with candles and bottled water. We couldn't go to the movies as there were bombs placed in the theatres. Then the kidnapping began and we had to change routes every day to go to work or school. We hired bodyguards and learned how to shoot. Those were the 80's and art of the 90's.
But as my family stuck together and decided to stay in Peru no matter what, we survived pretty well and now that Peru is quite stable (no threats, no terrorists thanks to Fujimori even if he was very corrupted) Peru is quite a nice place to live.
I am still in Peru and will continue to live here as long as destiny doesn't take me elsewhere.
And I learned how to take a bath using only a gallon of water!!!! If I go to Survivor (the show) I would definetly win (or any other peruvian who lived through that period of time in Lima)
