Ayacucho or Huaraz?

I want to packback and have a feeling of the peruvian highlands. Where to go?

Travel Tips

Both are great places to go but I would prefer going to Huaraz simply for the beautiful scenary there. Huaraz is called the peruvian switzerland due to wonderful snowy mountian tops, blue emerland lakes, etc. In Huaraz you can do some mountain climbing too.

I highly recommend you Huaraz even Ayacucho is nice too, but the scenario in Huaraz is Amazing, there are wonderful lakes in the middle of the Andes, the are remains of a great pre Inca culture called CHAVIN, you can practice andismo ( climbing of the Andes) very cool place.
