Where should I stay in Philadelphia? |
Travel Info I'm looking for a hotel in Philadelphia that is close to some good night life for a 30 y.o. guy. Travel Tips If you are looking at website for hotels, go for hotels in Olde City/Society Hill or Penn's Landing. There are a lot of bars and restaurants in that area. Others in philladaelphia Try FareChase, they search dozens of websites for you, so you dont have to!!! You can see all the hotels on a nice map, most of the nightlife, are in the center of Philly, so you can zoom to that area, and narrow the list of hotels. When clicking the map link next to each hotel, you can see the nightlife attractions near the hotel. http://farechase.yahoo.com/hotelsearch/?... For a 30 year old, you want to stay near City Hall , Lowes, Marriot, Ritz, doubletree, or west of Broad, Westin, Embassy Suites, Warwick, Latham, Rittenhouse h otels I would point you toward the Alexander Inn (small clean boutique style hotel with great rates) near 12th and Spruce, the Holiday Inn in Old City (on 4th Street between Arch and Market)or the Courtyard Marriott which is opposite City Hall on Market Street at Broad. These are all in the Center City area, which is very compact and walkable (much like Boston) so you won't have to worry about driving, you can hail a cab anywhere too. There are great bars and clubs near each of these places. Check out www.citysearch.com and click on Philadelphia I was in Philadelphia a month ago and stayed at the Penn's View Inn. It's in the historic area and there are lots of restaurants and clubs nearby, not to mention a ton of history. I personally liked this area a lot more than the City Hall, Rittenhouse Square areas. |
