I'm staying in Cherry Hill, NJ; and will commute to the center city everyday. What is the best transportation? |
Travel Info Is it bus, train, or what? I 'll be staying really close to a bus stop that takes me straight into downtown, but I fear the bus line travels into dangerous areas. Does anybody know anything about these bus lines? Travel Tips Aside from the NJ Transit line (it crosses Route 70 by the new Wegman's...where the old Garden State Racetrack used to be), you could always try PATCO's high speed line. There's a station in Haddonfield (downtown, Kings Highway, plenty of parking and I'm sure a bus goes there as well) or the Woodcrest Station near Burnt Mill Road (ditto). They will take you into Center City and I forget where the line ends, but it will at least get you to the Gallery on 8th Street...I think it ends somewhere close to 15th. Others the bus line that goes to philly (413, i think) should be fine. however, i would ask people who reguarely use this bus just to be sure. Check NJ Transit. I'm sure that there are a few bus lines that would bring you to Center City Philadelphia. However, you can also take the Atlantic City Train Line from the Cherry Hill Train Station to 30th Street. From there you could take the MFL to Center City. Check out the site @ www.njtransit.com for the best route to Philly. The best mode of transportation is flight. Try to fly over the river. See you when ya get here! ;) If you are in Cherry Hill The undisputed best way to get into the heart of Philadelphia is the New Jersey Transit High speed commuter rail. It runs every 30 minutes, it's safe night and day, it's clean,quiet, it runs all the way through the city with 6 stops at various locations in center city,it connects underground with SEPTA, It cost's aprox. $2.50 and if you would like to drive to the train station on rainy days and park your car, the parking is free.
