I am going to a concert at the Electric Factory in Philly.?

Travel Info
I am going to the concert with the love of my life and we're going to see her favorite band I was just wondering if anyone could give me any suggestions on places to go out to eat or even on other things that would be nice to do before the concert. It is at the Electric Factory on 421 N 7th Street. Any suggestions would be greatly accepted I haven't been there in over 4 years so I've forgotten everything. Thank You!

Travel Tips
Take her to South street-let her see the freak show, have a few drinks, get a cheesteak-get the whole philly experiece in 1 night

Others
Whiskey Tango is right there, but from what I hear, it's a very specific type of a crowd in that place. Not good or bad, just not for everybody.

Take a walk (or a very short cab ride) up to 3rd and Brown. There is a bar there called North 3rd and they have great food and beers. If you can grab a spot outside, it's a great place to have dinner. Inside, is a little more bar-like, but the food obviously doesn't change. It's on the corner...you can't miss it.

Over on 2nd there are multiple bars. There's Deuce, a great little place with good food, but it's a little pricey and is red. No serisopuly...the whole place is red inside. It's still a cool place and they have some good specials. think their one-year-anniversary is coming up, so I'd imagine they have a few specials. They were also given a Best of Philly rating, but I forget what for.

There's Azure...never been, but I heard the food is good in there.

There's Bar Ferdinand...never been here either, but it's directly across from Deuce and is a spanish tappas restaraunt. So far, it's been getting good reviews.

There's North Bowl...it's a bowling alley / lounge and is real chill. It can be hard to get a lane at times, like maybe Friday and Saturday night, but the bars are fun and the food is awesome...tater-tots, sliders, mac n' cheese.

Just next to that is the Standard Tap...all local beers (No Miller or Coors, but they do have Yuengling) and one of the best burgers in the city. Great food all around, but you'll never find a better burger.

A few blocks down 2nd, on the same side as Azure, North Bowl and the Standard Tap (in that order too, from North to South) is Liberties. They have a Statue of Liberty out front. There's nothing too special about this place, other than it's an old-school bar...like a salloon almost. Cheap drinks and a chill atmosphere. There are some more around there, but nothing worth mentioning, and there are a bunch of restaraunts too...I just don't really know them.

Last, but definitely not least is Ortleibs on 3rd & Poplar. It's an old schoool jass house, with ok food and open jam sessions. It's nice to just sit back and listen to some jazz, maybe even a good primer for whomever you're going to see.

Have a good time.
