Could anybody tell me what the section called Moyamensing is like now? How are the neighborhoods there? |
Travel Info At the time of the 1800s, this area was known as notorious with outbreaks of diseases here and there, and the air was also polluted. What's it like now? Can anybody make any comparisons, especially those who know the area, please? I've been doing research here and there, but I haven't found any good information & opinions describing how the area is like now. Thanks to all who answer! Travel Tips Not the best area. A couple of shootings at the WAWA recently & the movie theater recently closed. Not far from the nudey bars & shipyard, Near HUGE warehouses If you are looking to live there....I would rethink that. if you are thinking possible shooting a gritty movie on these streets....good choice. A positive....It is close to IKEA. Others South central Philadelphia, between Passyunk and Wicaco. Said to mean "unclean place" or, more literally, "place of pigeon droppings."
