Is Philadelphia famous for anything other than sandwiches? |
Travel Info The sandwiches are enough for me, but still if I'm going there I might as well see the sights; are there any? Travel Tips when you get your cheese steak you have to get it from geno's on 9th and passyunk/warton st. Pats isnt bad but Geno's blows them out the water, plus the lighting is better. The are museum is pretty cool...thats where rocky ran up the steps. Also i would suggest going to old city (front and south st) there's all kinds of nice resturants and bars that are alot of fun....if you go to fat tuesdays which is a big thing you have to get a high octane its what they are famous for! you'll love it!....you can always pop by the independace hall and see the liberty bell, and you could go to the gallery, do a little shopping....its kinda ghetto but theres stuff that you can buy there and on south st that you've never seen before............have fun OUR city is the BEST city ever! Others Liberty bell is pretty famous. And you can run up the steps like Rocky did. cream cheese --hahaha YEAY! The stairs that Rocky Balboa ran up in the movie!! Try it....it is easy to spot if you have seen the movie, and there is always some fool at the top doing the victory dance. And also...the Mutter Museum....very famous. If your into the whole medical thing. There is a body of a lady who was buried in this soil with ceritan chemical properties and it turned her into soap! Also, they have John Wilkes booth brain there. A lot of deformed fetuses in jars, deformed skeletons, the worlds largest colon you know....I highly reccomend it...its very educational. The home of Benjamin Franklin. (as an adult) It was one of the first capitals of the country. The Philadelphia Seventy Sixers, the Phillies, the Flyers. There are lots of things Philly is famous for. I live in the caribbean and i have never been to philly The Liberty Bell, the city of brotherly love. |
