Hey guys anything i cannot miss in Philadelphia? |
Travel Info I'm going from the 19th to the 21 on the way to another place. What can i not miss? Any reccomendations? Travel Tips You'll miss the Thanksgiving Day Parade( by the way they will be building stands in front of the art museum steps. So You may miss your chance to run up the steps). Short visit? Avoid the crowds at the Liberty Bell & Independence Hall. Instead, check out the nearby US mint , Betty Ross's house, the African American History muesum, Or the USS Olympia & Becuna at Penn's Landing. It's may be your one chance to vist a Real submarine! All Are a few blocks from each other, and no lines..... Source(s): Philly Resident Other Travel Tips Go to Geno's or Pat's for philly cheesesteak. South Street is also cool to check out. Lots of cool little record and bookshops, cafes, gift shops, and funky artist types. You will find a good vibe there. Hope you have fun on your trip! The Liberty Bell. The steps near the zoo that Rocky ran up in the movie. liberty bell and soicety hill area for boutqing eat at bookbinders , go to south phila for a chesse steak sandwhich Honestly, the Liberty Bell really isnt worth seeing if you're in town only for a few days. Unless you are a historian. Otherwise, you should definitely check out South Street (during the day of course). Get a cheesesteak from Geno's or Pat's, two of the best placest in all of Philly to get steaks. Take a walk through the Rittenhouse square area (walnut/chestnuts and 16th-19th streets), this is a pleasant area with many restaurants, lounges and shops. If you dont go into the art museum, at least check it out on the outside and see the famous "Rocky Balboa" steps. Some great restaurants in Philly are Morimoto, (if you like Sushi), Buddakan, Cuba Libre and if you are into something a little less expensive, try some of the little BYO's in town, such as Chloe.
