Have fun!! Others Atlantic city is the best place in New Jersey. It's a big beach resort and it has gambling & lots of historical landmarks. bring your geiger counter. you will likely be close to either New York or Philadelphia, since NJ is a bedroom community to both urban areas. tons to do in New York, less to do in Philly. apartments are pricier the closer you get to New York. NJ is an unattractive state, but the best area is Princeton - scenic, pleasant, great university. Atlantic City is a popular summer destination with a nice beach, but be ready for the onslaught of cougs and goombas. been there My plane was held over at Newark and I had to spend a day in New Jersey. Oh God! Nothing stays open after 10.00pm so if you are looking for a meal or a drink at night, even in your hotel, then forget it. I was in NYC a few months ago and took the PATH train over to Hoboken in New Jersey. I was advised that I could see the NY skyline at night from a new angle and take amazing pictures. Absolutely true! There's a beautifully-paved walkway along the edge of the Hudson River and the view (day or night) is breathtaking. There are bistros, restaurants and bars overlooking the skyline and a few streets back, near the train station are a few pub/bars. Don't go to NYC and not see this! |
