What's fun to do in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania? Best places to eat? |
Travel Info I will be going to a convention in Wilkes-Barre, PA in August at the Wachovia Arena. What's cool in the area? I love Chinese food and Latin food. What restaurants do you recommend? Any malls in the area? Wal-Mart? http://www.wachoviaarena.com/ Travel Tips ...near the Wachovia Arena, there are many, many places to shop, and eat...lots of restaurants on that strip...off I-81 there is also the Wyoming Valley Mall (off Kidder Street/Mundy Street -in Wilkes-Barre, PA) .....but further up I-81 towards scranton, PA....there is the Mall @ Steamtown in Scranton, and Viewmont Mall, Route 6 in Dickson City, PA....<again, many places to eat near there on that strip such as Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Smokey Bones, Charlie Browns....etc. There is also Montage Mountain where you can see the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees Minor League Baseball game, or maybe a summer concert, or Cinemark movie theatres, and the "specialty" shops should be built and completed by then......in Scranton there is the historic Lackawanna Station and you can take a train ride... ...Oh, ?..did i tell you i live in Scranton?...lol... Others was born there save your money dont go come to texas wilkes barre??? SHOOT YOURSELF!!!!! |
