Travel Info Is philly safe to visit? Travel Tips Yes. It is a wonderful city. Lots of history, culture, and tourist attractions. If you stick to the tourist areas (old city, center city) you will be fine. Lots of good hotels within walking distance to great dining, entertainment, etc. Enjoy! It's a little rough around the edges -- the airport is a mess and the litter is more than a little heartbreaking. But there are some amazing sights, wonderful places to eat, and lots of features that will make for a nice visit. Let me know what sort of things you're interested in and I can try to recommend some things for you from an insider's point of view. :P Some areas are safer than others just like any other city. In areas that are very touristy, like near the museums and boat house row along with the waterfront, all is fine. Other areas like "Nicetown" (not nice) and some seedy neighborhoods, stay away, especially at night. From there. |
