Is there anything to do around lancaster, pennsylvania? |
Travel Info being a teenager, and going with my friends for part of my birthday, i'm not looking for like an amish barn raising. the resort i'm going to has enough for offer, i'm just trying to find out what's beyond. i always had fun there when i was wee, but i'm all grown up now (kind of). i hear there's some "good shopping" but is there really? any recommendations would be SO helpful. i'm up for anything. THANK YOU! Travel Tips the best shopping (in my opinion) is Tanger Outlets...you can spend alot of time there.. Others how about bowling The outlests there are good. If you have a chance, try going to the Hershey Complex in Hershey, PA (not too far, ~ 30 mins away). There is Hershey Park and the Hershey factory and the Hershey Hotel. Really neat for kids if you have some. The Pennsylvania Railroad Museum and Strasburg Railroad (in Strasburg, PA) is pretty cool. There is a huge outlet mall on route 30. I think they have over 300 stores so you can literally spend all day just walking around. Lancaster is outlet city...two large outlet centers east of town on Rte. 30, besides that, it's pretty much a tourist town for viewing the Amish I am afraid. I live in Lancaster County. If it's shopping you want, we have Rockvale Square, Tanger Outlets, and various and sundry stores along Route 30. There are dinner theatres, an opera house, an indoor water park at Howard Johnson. Do any of these meet your needs? |
