The eateries and bars on South Street are fantastic. Souvlaki's Greek restaurant may not be much to look at, but the food is excellent. The Five Spot is a great place for swing dancing. I was pregnant the last time I went and couldn't fully enjoy it, but it was still a blast watching other people all dressed up and swinging (they really get into it). http://www.thefivespot.com/ http://philadelphia.citysearch.com/profi... Plenty. Philly is a great city, full of history, wonderful culture and top restaurants. Even if you are not a history buff, see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were signed. The Phila. Art Museum is one of the best in the world. You might be able to get tickets to the King Tut exhibit at the Franklin Institute, the only stop in the US. There are tons of great restaurants in Center City (downtown) of all varieties. Some of my favorites are Savalo (California Italian), Estia (Greek), Amada (Spanish tapas). There also are several world renown restaurants like Buddakan, Moritmoto (Iron Chef's restaurant), Susanna Foo (one of the world's leading chefs of French-Chinese cuisine), Stripped Bass, and Le Bec Fin. Enjoy yourself!! it's suburbs are nicer, go to New Hope |
