Travel Info I am looking for a fun, relaxing family vacation within driving distance to Philadephia. Hopefully someplace warm and inexpensive. Childs age 8. Travel Tips For driving distance fun, try: Ocean City, NJ and Ocean City, MD (my favorite!!) Both have boardwalks, beaches, and fun stuff for kids. Baltimore, MD Virginia Beach, VA All the Jersey Shore points Washington, DC Poconos Mtns. All are really close and you can find some inexpensive deals during the spring and summer months. I really do love Ocean City, MD. My nieces are both 7 and they picked Ocean City, MD over Disney World this year. Others 2- 5 hours...Jersey Shore, Baltimore, New york city, Washington DC, Lancaster, PA, Mystic Connecticut, 5-8 hours ...Virginia Beach, Asateague Island,Try out some of the State/ National Parks....My favorite 10 hour drive... Smoky Mountains Lancaster! Spring is coming, the fields will be fresh, the days will be warm, the baby animals will start to be born - I'm excited just thinking about it! Take your kids to visit a cabinet maker, a working farm, a fair - anything! Farm markets are great and it's such a relaxing atmosphere and a great chance to learn about the Amish ( = |
