ROADSIDE AMERICA is an unforgettable panorama of life in rural United States. The exhibit spans more than two hundred years in time and lets you see, in exquisite miniature, how people lived and worked in pioneer days 鈥?through the years since then 鈥?right up to the present. http://www.roadsideamericainc.com/...

In Lancaster itself you have Dutch Wonderland, which is a smaller amusement park. You also have very good outlet shopping.

Gettysburg is about an hour and a half drive. They have a ton of civil war museums, tours, battlfield, etc. Really neat if you are into history.
There is a lot of unique and inexpensive family attractions in Central Pennsylvania, especially now since winter is about over. PA Amusement Parks will be opening around Mothers Day or visit PA State Parks. You'll find camping, hiking, boating, fishing, and how about visiting a bat colony? Of course you'll want to visit the many haunted PA attractions. Don't believe in ghosts? You haven't been to Central PA yet, you'll find documented proof at many haunted sites. Take a long ride along the historic Lincoln Highway, you'll see all kinds of roadside attractions, like a real buffalo ranch. By following the Lincoln Highway you'll cover 7 counties. The Flight 93 crash site is along this unique route.

Lancaster has really pretty farmland to just drive through and admire. You will see Amish, and (as obivious as it may sound you'd be surprised) don't gawk, they will be in buggies and out and about, I've lived here for years and they worst things is see tourists get out of their car and try to take pictures, or slow down to get a good look etc. It's rude and what not but most don't realize HOW rude it is to them unless you live here. oK that out of the way : ), Gettysburg is a great place to go, the battefields are fun and there is a ton of antiqueing and history places. Hershey is fine I suppose, but the chocolate world is a bit better (the park itself is like any other, nothing spectacular about it, not to mention it is EXTREMELY expensive for food / candy and what not. not to mention tickets) If you're interesting in camping there is a ince place with a lareg lake for swimming/boating/fishing etc called Pinchot (pronounced pin ch oooo) park that you can look up. there is also a small cave called Indian echo caverns that is fun that many tourists don't know about. Other than that there really is nothing else, at all. Linclon hw. if you're into tooling around in a car, but that's it.
