Travel Info What is it to do today that is free in philly? Travel Tips All of the museums are free on Sundays. Go to the art musuem or U of PA museum. Or you can just sight see. Go to center city & see the liberty bell & sights. Or walk around the art museum & boats house row. Or walk the ben franklin bridge & visit NJ. Or if ur looking for a party - girls are sometimes in free at certain clubs before a certain time. Others Why don't you go to the Art Museum area? there is a great museum there that's free called the Fairmount Waterworks. It tells the very interesting history of the Schuykill River, the yellow fever epidemic that swept the city, etc. It's waaaay more interesting than it sounds. There is the park iteself and just taking in the sights of center city. That's all free if you can get there! Penn's Landing is fun... There's probably plenty going on in the city... use this website to do a little searching: http://www.gophila.com/ The Philadelphia Free Library is beautiful. Walk around and look at the architecture of the older buildings. Go hang on South Street You can go to the "Love Park" in downtown. It's a beautiful park with a huge fountain. It's great just to buy a quick lunch. Sit there and eat, take pictures with the Love Sign. You can also go down the Chesnut shopping area and look around. It's really fun to travel and walk. You don't have to spend money. But anyways, the museums are great, too. It's not free, but very low price. You can also visit Penslanding and enjoy the great view. Visit old historic homes like in Old City. There are 'lots of things to do if you just know how to communicate well. |
