Looking for things to do in WEST CHESTER PA with family.?

Travel Info
I am looking for some info on places to go w/ little kids in/ near West Chester PA. I checked their tourism page but there isn't anything much. Thanks :)

Travel Tips
Below are a few links of places in the area. There's nothing that is ever-so-exciting, but these may be a few places you can go. Remember that Wilmington, De is just a mere 15-20min drive away. (depending on traffic - so probably 20).
You want to be looking up things in the Brandywine Area. This will include West Chester, Chadds Ford, and Wilmington (as larger areas). I loved the Newlin Grist Mill when I was little. You got to run around and play, and then go fishing in these overstocked ponds. They give the kids velveeta to catch the fish. hehe :) The brandywine zoo is not too bad that may entertain the kids. Then there is longwood gardens which is really pretty and the kids can kinda run around a bit. Plus its leisurely and pretty for you.
Most of these aren't in west chester, but they are all close. Also there is the Booth's Corner Farmer's Market which is open on Friday and Saturday. Its just a bunch of shops, but it can be fun, there's a great Pizza place thats been there for over 20 years, and there's a cheap candy shop right up the hall.
Also there is public ice skating on the weekends at the Skating Club of Wilmington. You could go to the booth's corner farmer's market around lunch time, and then head into wilmington for some afternoon skating. You can also call and find out when the group lessons are on Sat or Sun. There are really great coaches there that love to work with little kids. I went there once when I was 5, and began and ice-skating career that lasted 12 years.

I was born right outside West Chester and these are just a few of the memorable things that I did as a kid. Source(s): http://www.thebrandywine.com/attractions...

Depends what you consider "near" and how "little" the children are.

Valley Forge can be nice depending on the weather. You are fairly close to Pennsylvania Dutch country.
about 15 minutes...longwood gardens..plan a few hours and bring a camera! if you like art..brandywine river museum or in 30 minutes..head into philly!
