Tastykake is moving it's plant. Good thing? |
Travel Info The Philly Icon after 85 years has just made a deal to leave it's Hunting park Ave. site and move to the Navy yard. While It keeps them out the 'burbs, What about Hunting Park & Is this another Special tax break deal like Comcast got? Travel Tips Hey, they are still in Philly, and that is what counts. Butterscotch Krimpets would not be the same if they were made in Kansas or Mexico. Boo and hiss to Breyer's for moving out of Philly. They can't advertise about playing stick ball on Camac St. anymore, can they? Others The Hunting Park plant is Old and needs to be replaced. They probably got a good deal on the Navy Yard. At least they haven't moved to Mexico. I live on the Mexican Border but can buy Tastykakes here. Born and raised in North philly where Tastykake is a Food Group, Just like Pretzels, Cheesesteaks and Dutch Ring Bolony oohhh...how sad. I grew up in North Philly and remember waking to the smell of Tastykakes baking. At least they're still in philly. What are they going to do with the property on Hunting Park Ave? As long as Tastykake stays in Philly, everything is all good. If they ever leave, then we have problems.... |
