Travel Info What is it like to live in East Stroudsburg, Pa? Travel Tips PA stinks! Especially the drivers. There's nothing more frustrating than riding behind a PA plate in the fast lane doing 40 mph! The real estate's cheap, though. Others prrrrrretty sure it's out in the sticks, up along North Jersey / Northeastern PA. We used to go camping up that way, and it seems kind of slow around there. The scenery is very nice though for what it's worth. I was born in Long Island NY and moved to East stroudsburg when i was 12 years old. It was a big change for me because everything is so far away. I use to walk to school, the beach, the store. But where i lived it would take me about 15 min., by car, just to get some milk. But overall it was a really nice place to live. The schools are good, and it is roughly 2 hours from NYC and Philly. It is a very scenic place with beautiful views in both the winter and summer.Here is a link for things to do in the Poconos. http://www.800poconos.com/sitemap/index.... Cheap, nice place to raise a family. If you are young and like to go out it would be awful. Probably not a bad place to go to school but I wouldn't want to be single and 27 there. It's really nice, i've lived here all my life, there are many good schools, restaurants, and good people, its really peaceful and nice, but not too rural. It's not where you live.It's what you decide to make of it. East Stroudsburg is a nice town very close to Stroudsburg which is a larger town.The people are very nice.Good Luck! |
