Where at in PA is a good place to live? With good restaurants, shopping, parks, etc.

I would recommend Chester County, PA....good mix of suburban and rural living, close to Philly to do things, close enough to the New Jersey shore, and a relatively good job market.
Others

Newtown is a cute little town with shops and a good school district. It is close to the jersey shore too. Only about an hour and a half.
The Pocono's are nice, it covers a long range of areas, and isn't completely rural, a good area would be Stroudsburg, there are several parks near, some great restaurants, and a big mall, as well as the "Crossings" outlets a few miles away in Tannersville. The area isn't too city like, too rural. It's a good area, and it is only an hour and a half drive to NYC.
Well PA is a BIG place. If I had the money to move? Abington twp. Inner ring suburb of Phila., lots of shoping, parks, and close to stuff in Phila. Taxes not too bad. Close to the turnpike and other major roads.
I would suggest central PA. The Harrisburg area. Towns like Camp Hill, New Cumberland, Dillsburg, Hershey...etc... are all growing and with Harrisburg being the capital there are tons of things to do, places to eat...

The capital however is not a "CITY", it's more of a big town. Very nice area where you won't get completely bored out of your mind like the rest of the state and the crime isn't insane like Phila or Pitt.

The Central Pennsylvania Mountains are an ideal place to live. There are plenty of small communities and townships to choose from. You get the advantage of enjoying all 4 seasons and there are plenty of Pennsylvania Attractions that are located through the Allegheny Mountains. You'll find amusement parks, state parks, festivals, museums and Pennsylvania landmarks. And who can resist a few haunted attractions?
