Travel Tips It depends on what type of an apartment you are looking for- to get an idea go to apartments.com or Craigs list and type in philadelphia--old city, rittenhouse square, near the university of penn are all nice neighborhoods, the latter being the cheapest-society hill/old city the most expensive. If you are will to live out of the city, like Manyunk you can get a lot of house for your money- and even a yard. Rents usually run about 1000 for a one bedroom, but really nice for that price. Food and gas is the same as Allentown or Cherry Hill, so no bigger expense there. You'll love it there- lots to do, and if you live in the city, you really don't need a car ..........good luck Others It doesn't matter how much you make , it is never enough to keep a woman happy !!! They always want more , more, more !!!! Move to South Jersey or the Pennsylvania suburbs it coast two arms and a leg not to live in the ghetto in Philly (2007 US murder Capital) too much crime. Live on the outide of it. 3000 monthly will get you established quickly. Well depends on your lifestyle. I'm single and get by on $2000 a month. No cable, or DSL and try not to use the gas much in the winter. Over the summer I was jobless and had to REALLY make do on nothing. Thank God for $1 stores & cup a soup...... depends on city vs suburbs.in the city a nice area is very expensive For business reasons move here. For a good life, dont. Depends on the area. However the homicide rate is currently 157. We have more deaths in Philadelphia than there are days in this year. But, for a decent living, per month you need about $1000.00. |
