Newark is probably about a 2 and a half to 3 hour drive, Baltimore Washington International is probably 2 and a half to three hours as well. Figure and additional 35 to 40 minutes of driving for the other 2 New York area airports or Washington National Airport. If you're going to take a cab, it isn't cost effective to fly out of any airport other than Philly. You could take Amtrak from Philly to either Newark or BWI, both have airport stations and easy (and free) transfers to the terminals from the train station. Others It is about 102 miles long, if you are planing to take a cab it will cost you $200.00 to $400.00. Be smart, you can negotiate the fair. I advice you to call more than 1 cab company and make your deal with them because they are willing to take your business. Also, there is a shuttle running every few hours to Newark and to JFK airport, they are door to door service. It will cost you $35 to $50. I drive Limos to Newark alot. It's about 2 hours driving( if traffic is light?). Range?about 50-60 miles We charge ether a flat rate or hourly. It is the closest functioning airport close to Philadelphia. Philadelphia International has the worst on-time departure rating of any airport in the US and one of the worst places for security screening (as in long lines and not enough screeners). The airport is a joke and an embarrassment. Take Amtrak from Philadelphia or NJ Transit from Trenton to Newark. The airport is next to the train station. If you book your flight on Continental you can have the Amtrak fare added to your ticket. It's called AirTrain. The fare is usually the same as from Philly, or can be cheaper.
