What are some of the best known or largest churches in the greater philadelphia area, even surburbs? |
Travel Info not catholic and obviously christian based. thanks in advance Travel Tips I guess we have alot of Non believers here based on the number of responses? Hmmmm..... Anyway.... Well known churches, non Catholic? Bright Hope Baptist, Christian Stronghold baptist, Mt. Carmel baptist all come to mind.There are others of course, there are alot of churches in the area..... Others Christ Church between Arch & Market Streets on 2nd Street is the most famous church in Philadelphia. Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, most of the signers of the Declaration of Independence went there. Franklin and a lot of famous people are buried in the Christ Church Cemetery. |
