Travel Info New to area. Travel Tips Anyway you slice it, it's a long trip. THe Septa website has a trip planner that will give you the best trip based on your location and time. Oft hand I'd say your options are the Regional rail ( the R 7 or R 8 Chestnut hills to 30th st. Then change to the R5 to Paoli). OR catch a bus to Fern Rock or Broad & Olney Subway stops. Then take the sub to City Hall & make the free interchange to the Market El to 69th st. At 69th st. take the #100 hi speed line to Bryn Mawr. There is no "best and quickest" quickest way to take public transportation from Mt. Airy to Bryn Mawr. On public trans. you have to take the R7 train from Mt.
