I live right near there, in Broomall. The one thing I like to do in Havertown is eat at the Oakmont Pub at Eagle Road near Darby Road (across from the Wawa). It's a nice place and they have good food and Paulener Hefeweizen beer on tap, reason enough to go almost anywhere in my opinion.

Once a year they have Havertown Day, with a parade and stuff like that. But if you miss it you have to wait a year.
