Travel Info have been here 11 months leaving june 26 know i will be fined for overstaying 10 months, do i pay at airport or go to immigration here in philippines Travel Tips Go to immigration first to avoid hassle at the airport. Surely, you cannot go out without the immigration clearance first. Do it now otherwise, you will add a problem on your flight on the 26. O my! you will be penalized why you let it happened? You can stay legally for that period in paying the right minimal amount only. Others You will need to go to the Philippine Immigration as you don't want to take the chance to be sent back to the BI at the airport or worse yet have to pay under the table at the airport because they know you'll miss your flight if they send you back to the BI. Just don't understand why you didn't get extensions for as easy they are to get. Good Luck Moving to the Philippines Yahoo group "Free Membership" http://asia.groups.yahoo.com/group/movin... You can pay it at the airport when you start to leave. Have some pesos on hand to pay it. Its probably gonna run about 15-20K. If you want to play it safe and not take a chance on getting caught without enough PHP to pay when you exit then go to the immigration office before you leave and pay it. The costs will be about the same either way. I would think twice before following Bob's advice. It's ok to have up to $10,000 at the airport, but no more than 10.000 pesos. If you carry more, you stand a good chance of having it confiscated. My suggestion is to go via a travel agency. They can do all sorts of arrangements for you without the pain to you. |
