Travel Info In some areas of the philippines, they find invitations with r.s.v.p. rude, do you think so too? Travel Tips Maybe on some areas in the Philippines but I usually use r.s.v.p. when throwing a formal party so I will know who's really coming and how much do I need to prepare (foods, drinks, etc.). It's no big deal at all. Just being practical. ADD: On formal and exclusive parties I'm throwing.. I prefer using the r.s.v.p. coz one thing I really hate it when I'm just expecting one invited person to come and later on I realized that this person is bringing a friend or two with him/ her plus those persons are really strangers and it's an insult to me but I don't like to appear rude so I just told the waiters to serve them foods and drinks too. Gosh! I loathe gatecrashers. <*-*> Others Please move post this in the Polls and Surveys sections. no unless its a very small party . r.s.v.p. let's you know how much food and drinks you need to buy and also if you need rent chairs and tables I'm not sure that's true. It isn't rude and you're just making a presemption they will find it rude or that you are limiting the number of guests which almost veryone will understand. no. if i'm invited then good, if not lifes moves on. I've lived in the Phils all my life and it's the 1st time I've ever heard of that. What's rude is if you totally ignore someones invitation that's an RSVP. rsvp should not be construed as being rude. it is just a matter of economics and efficiency. |
