Does anyone remember the band named "The Youth" in the Philippines who became famous about 10 years ago? |
Travel Info I cannot find any information about them or any of their songs using the search engines. They were around when Siakol, Eraserheads, Parokya, Grin department, and other famous bands played. Travel Tips From their first album they had the songs Multo sa paningin (Multong bakla), Mukha ng pera, Supernova scum, Alphabet song, Basura, Anak ka nga ina mo (Hoy gising), Kapag nagunaw ang mundo, Magulo and buhay ng tao, Payo, Takbo and a very funny filler. Thay even made an anti-hiphop version of Multo sa paningin called Multong Hiphop. Their secong album was a flop and the only song that made it to radio was Tao po. I have the CD. Others I remember one famous song from them, MULTONG BAKLA, i think they got famous around late 90s right? they were quite known for the satirical lyrics of their songs. Too bad though that they didn't last in the music industry and just disappeared. Yup, scary-looking long-haired dudes from UST who kicked major rock bums in the early 90s when most pinoy rock bands were predominantly underground inhabitants of Club Dredd and Mayrics. Bought their album right off when I heard them ask this question during a gig... "Ano'ng gagawin mo kapag may pulis sa likuran mo?" (jeez that's ancient history). PT already gave a good rundown of their more popular songs. ancient The Youth TAPES from days when local pirated "debede" copies were nonexistent. =P |
