Will filipinos ever learn how to stop littering everywhere? |
Travel Info it's really disgusting to be quite honest. this is our only land, shouldn't we take care of it? Travel Tips yes, that's one of my pet peeves next to spitting on the road. totally disgusting. it doesn't hurt to keep your trash in your bag or pockets then throw it once you have access to a trash can. it just won't work, no matter how near the waste can is, people can't seem to make it a habit to throw trash properly. At one time it was implemented in Iloilo to put waste cans inside jeepneys. that didn't stop people from throwing their food wrappers over their shoulder. i think in our own small ways, we can demand from our extended family members to stop littering. also if you see anyone littering, ask them POLITELY to make a beeline for the waste can. Others them being here is a huge litter problem.... Racist. i think it won't stop........ sorry... hahaha.... it's grown so much in us that it already became a part of the culture.... or, sort of.... hahaha.... Are you talking of every single individual of the entire nation?! I am a Filipino but I do take care of my trash and trying to avoid littering by throwing everything that I do not need. I think you just have not met the good ones yet...It's not right for anybody to make generalizations coz I coz observe that other people are slobbs, too! Me? I always throw my trash almost daily and my place is always very clean and tidy. How about yours? Unless every citizen learns to love the country, this will not stop. In a micro study, look at Marikina City. People there are proud of their city and they work together to keep it clean. Learning is a long (and sometimes painful process) I think the government should push for more stringent punishments for littering citizens. The reason wht Singapore is such a clean city was a result of the harsh punishments handed to those who wont maintain cleanliness. |
