Travel Tips i remember when i was a kid, our dad usually brings us to historical places in manla such as fort santiago and fort bonifacio. sadly, though, kids today seldom experience this perhaps because of the too many distractions and other "easier and more convenient" things to do such as malling. There is now a mall nearby every city in the Philippines, why go elsewhere when every mall usually has the same shops and restos. I'm quite glad that there are still some people like you who wishes to explore, even just the metro, for the kids. I suggest you go to these "almost forgotten" historical places rather than hitting the malls, it's a good way to enrich kids' minds and cultivate their historical awareness of our country. > Manila Bay - you can just stroll in the baywalk, dine in one of the restos and watch the sunset. > Rizal Park - in Roxas Blvd, overlooking the Manila Bay. > Quirino Grandstand - just across Rizal Park. > Manila Zoo > Intramuros Manila -- where you can check out Fort Santiago > Various "old, historical" churches in the area! > Museo Pambata - kids will definitely enjoy this place! Others maybe go to manila zoo. maybe go to luneta park. maybe intramuros rizal. (best answer pls..) there's not a lot of things to do in manila, though it's a good place to go shopping... but bigger shopping mall are in the nearby cities like makati, ortigas and greenhills (30-60mins away from metro manila) but if you really want to have a good time with the family you should go out of manila... like tagaytay (1 1/2 hour drive from manila) there's a lot of good restaurants and spas and picnic gardens there. puerto galera beach (2hours from manila to batangas pier then 45 mins boat ride to white beach) or if you want to go further, there are other paradise like palawan, bohol and boracay (just ask the travel agencies inside the malls for more info) Go to Mall of Asia or SM Megamall and do some window shopping or ICE SKATING with your family. Movie theater and food chains are great options too. |
