Travel Tips a promotional campaign that stuck.** Others Cebu City is called the Queen City of the South because it is the largest city (urban area and metropolis) in the whole VIsayas and Mindanao, so tourism officials started making it promotional campaign. Now, it has been named as queen rather than king because Countries and cities and referred to as "she". It's called Queen City of the South because, from the south of Manila it's the only Province with 4 cities. because it is the fastest growing city in the visayas/mindanao region. bec its large and it was the firsrt place or oldest place in the philippines...thats what my teacher said..:) |
