Is the Filipino's lack of collective discipline and focus appalling? |
Travel Info should there be a need for her excellency, the president, gloria macapagal-arroyo to strongly enforce laws to everyone at all levels of society as Lee Kwan Yew did with Singapore? Travel Tips most people would call it sad, especially if one is to look at the the country's history & its enormous potentials. but that is not to say that other countries are better, no there are a lot more other cultures with graver discipline issues that the filipino. but you might be right, it might be a leadership issue--but one that might not be easily solved overnight. if filipinos living in singapore, the US, the countries of europe, the middle east & elsewhere obey & follow those countries laws & have become upright law abiding citizens--then filipinos can do it back home. & so all is not lost. remember though that the country is relatively a very young democracy & we probably need more time, a long(er) memory & for us to learn the lessons of the past real well. Others why should she be the one to enforce the laws when she does not even know how to respect the law? a leader should lead by example... besides, the philippines will improve if each and every filipino will change for the better.. Yes, absolutely. Thanks for doing my work for me (other) Well. Gratis, I hope. Personally, yeah i think so. Its like a basketball team, there has to be a coach or all hell would break loose. I also think it will take 2 Lee Kwan Yew Presidents' to really instill discipline and focus upon the people, just for us to be progressive. It has to be a long term objective. i do not think that we lack collective discipline and focus. you should remember that the philippines is not homogeneous and is composed of thousands of islands and hundreds of languages and dozens of ethnic groups. it certainly is easier to govern singapore but what i do not like is the defeatest attitudes of the two wells. i honestly believe that chatting is a violation of the quidelines set forth by yahoo. i have been disciplined enough to report the wells for chatting. i agree with you.... the president should declare martial law to discipline the filipinos,,,,,,because our race is pigging democracy. |
