Don't You Just Hate It Dahlings? |
Travel Info When people ask you what kind of transport system does the Philippines have now or if credit cards are widely used here? Do they think just because we are the labelled at times as "the Philippine Islands" dahling makes people abroad think we are some backwards hula dancing primitive country? Oh dahlings, the irony of it...*gasp* Travel Tips Excellent question, sweetie! True, that used to bother me before but not anymore now. The way I look at it is it's really their "fault" if they have little or no knowledge at all about the Philippines. The truth is most people hardly know anything about other countries, much less their own country. Here in the States, it's not uncommon to find regular joes and jacks who don't even know that Washington DC is their nation's capital. If that is the case, how else do we expect them to know where the heck the Philippines is and what we have there? Their loss really. But given any small opportunity, I do tell (about the Philippines)...and tell them, I do. MABUHAY! Others nasty honey, those people are really ignorant and most of them are from --. I live in Canada and I read questions like do we live in igloos in Canada. These are the kind of people who were raised as if they own the whole world and doesn't have to learn about others and their culture. Ooooppps, before everyone of you reacts it's not a generalization of a certain culture or country. I'm just sharing my experience in here. Peace! It's ok,darling. They have the same questions back there at Y/A Travel- Italy. lol Some people are too naive to ask something like that. It must be because they haven't been to the said place before. Let's just try to understand their sentiments. <*-*> I know what you're talking about. Someone even asked if visa is used in Manila, what do they think that we're still living in the stone age? I just laugh at it, and ignore it. I wouldn't mind it too much.. many people have questions about the economics in other countries as well, it's not all the same. If you look at other developing countries, they lack many technological entities that may help boost their economical systems. i get what you're sayin' dhaling.... is that bokbok up there? |
