Another re-post: Why is it so easy to kill a fish? |
Travel Info My "re-post question" series is my personal greatest hits collection here at YAP (forgive my delusions of grandeur). ... posted one month ago... OK, so you catch a fish, put it on the chopping board and with a quick stroke of a knife, you send it to fishy-heaven. And you do this with a straight face. This is one of those pointless, time-waisting questions that never fails to keep me up at night. So why? Why is killing a fish not that big of a deal to us humans? I have always had this theory that the reason why we can kill fish so unsympathetically is due to the fact that fish have no eye-brows. I mean, you stab a cow or a pig and you feel sorry for them, especially when their eye brows raise up in pain. But when you gut a fish, it just lies there and stares back at you. It almost gives you that "is that all you got?" look. Travel Tips Because Filipino has Spanish blood and we want revenge with Lapu-Lapu. By the way Ferdinand Magellan is not Spanish, he is a Portuguese in blood. Others beause you don't hear the fishy cry or make any noise when you caught them or when you start slitting their throat... if its for a victory celebration like, well you know what, i could close my eyes and not be sorry about it. All the answers above are correct. May I add, the fish will not be unruly towards you. If the wish is unruly, it will not do you harm. Because animal rights groups like PETA or PAWS would not go after you if you kill a fish... Fish are classified as fish, not mammals, and they are cold-blooded creatures. Because you only need your bare hands to kill a fish. You can't kill pig, cow or chicken using your bare hands. Beside from that when you purchase the fish from the market its already dead. because they don't makes a sound akin to crying and their eyes don't stare back at you with a sad/frightened look |
