Do you agree that a certain percentage of very wealthy Filipinos willfully forget about their poor countrymen? |
Travel Info It can get frustrating to know that those who can help chose not to. That those who have a better life (locally) chose to deny the existence of squalor around them. When pressed about this, they often unleash a verbal assault upon you as a way of preserving their status quo, because it hurts them to realize that they are neglecting the rest of their people. To regain their equilibrium, instead of acknowledging that they need to do something, they express it by attacking others so that they "convince" themselves that what they are doing is correct all along. Do you agree or not with this assessment? Thank you. Travel Tips Have you ever stopped to think that maybe these rich do help their fellow poor countrymen BUT they don't go around broadcasting it the way you do. Others yes, i agree with you. in fact i do the most (in real life) to help the neglected, in fact, i too work for an organization that spent about $2.8M into the Philippines in 2006 and a little bit more by the end of this year, by way of programs and projects in education and healthcare. i indeed do work for those noble causes. it doesn't make me noble--but it sure feels good. you should try it sometime. Well, who here at YAP invited you to preach to them? And what does it take to make you realize we don't need lectures from you? We all get it OK? Anyone with a TV set knows there's suffering in the world. Do we have to report to you how we choose to help the poor? And how is that any business of yours? OK... I have been for the past three years financially supporting two under-privileged college nursing students by fully paying for their allowances and tuition fees. The two are both daughters of our maid at home in the Philippines. Happy now? It's not exactly 2.8 million dollars, but it's something I didn't feel like telling you to make you quit preaching untill now. I don't chastise anyone I know for not doing the same and I don't brag about it like you do. Peace and love. Well, "well", you seem to be answering your own questions, even asking them twice. What you say about the Philippine "haves" could apply to almost any country in the world. You do what you can to help the "have nots", and ignore those that choose not to help their own countrymen. All you can hope for is that your efforts will shame some of them into doing something constructive. I lived with an extended family of Filipino "have nots" for four years, and I continue to support them. No I don't agree dahiling. Do you believe all that hogwash dahling? I think you say that to convince yourself that you are noble. Name the organization dahling. Frankly your tirade is becoming too boring to say the least. I just think you are a pathetic geezer who just sits in front of his computer all day long purporting to people that you have a life, whilst in reality YAP is the only semblance of life you've got dahling. You even spewed out a clone-bot who supposedly loves you. Pathetic to say the least. I do credit you with coming up with a good cover story in an attempt to elevate your status for reason being that you can't do that in real life. Poor soul, Ok, we will humor you as long as you stay put and do go on stalking people who have a life outside of your comfort zone which is reality dahling. *yawn* Sometimes I am beginning to wonder you are helping for the wrong reason and still feel happy about it. Do you expect true blood Samaritans to follow your path? "Let us help the poor and let the world know how good people we are. Mr. Well is sharing his own brand of wisdom. Look at him, girls are all around him. He enjoys the praises and accolades both from the government and non-government organization. He had the world in his palm. He is god to himself" Puno na siguro ng kalawang ang well na yan. |
