Travel Info What are nice areas for older single female to move to in Phoenix? Travel Tips Sun City is a retirement community with national recognition. Others there are tons of great places...scottsdale, north phoenix, glendale/peoria, tempe/mesa/chandler. i would probably pick a place based on where it is in relation to work and school. that would make a big difference when it comes to your commute. i like the north scottsdale and north phoenix areas since they're close to the freeways, and near awesome restaurants and clubs. Kind of depends upon what "older" really means? Over 50 would probably fit in best in the North Scottsdale area or in Mesa. However, in the 40-49 brackett may fit into Tempe, Glendale or the Gilbert and Chandler areas. However, there are many excellent newer developments in Sun City West, Goodyear and Avondale for the 55+ group with lots of amenities. Lived in the Phoenix area for 20 years. A lot of older people favor the west valley. |
