How can I sue University of Phoenix for lying to me? |
Travel Info I planned to go there for only during the summer and wanted to go to another university (U of U) in the fall. U of PHX told me the credits would transfer, I have it on tape. I did everthing through U of U to tranfer these credits (appealed them) and they didn't tranfer. can i sue or maybe get a refund for my tuiton some how? Travel Tips yes get a lawyer to write University of phoenix a threatening letter with a copy of the tape and proof that the creidts did NOT transfer and that you plan to sue if you are not fully refunded along with another amount calculated at the time wasted in thier classeas and calculate the mileage and gas to attend the classes also. get it on a letterhead with law firm on it ( by hhiring them to write the letter about $100 to $200 ) im sure they will refund u fully and maybe and then some:) good luck Others Get over it. Before enrolling in the University of Phoenix studies you should also have contacted the U of U to verify that they would accept the University of Phoenix credits. You learned a life's lesson and you'll know better next time. You did gain knowledge from your time at the University of Phoenix so your time there really wasn't wasted. You did attend their class so at most you could only claim a partial refund of tuition. Is it really worth your time and money? As a side note I'm going to take a guess that if you actually do bother to pick a best answer, it will be "lady29", because she is agreeing with you. As far as U of Phx was concerned, I am sure they believed those units would transfer. It is up to U of U to accept them. You asked the wrong university. You should have asked U of U if they would accept the units. Since they did not, you have taken the classes and when you retake them it will be a cake walk. |
