Can someone tell me on how is the life in arizona? |
Travel Info Can someone tell me on how is the life in arizona? Travel Tips The climate here is hot and dry, with very mild winters - at least where I live here in Phoenix. Does snow farther north, but not here. Some people here are a little pretentious for my taste (I've actually heard people brag "I drive a BMW and live in Scottsdale" like that somehow makes you a better person) but if you learn to spot and ignore the jackasses, you'll be OK. People here tend to be more informal and casual than in most places. People here go to functions dressed in sport shirts, shorts and flip-flops, where in most other parts of the country you would be at least semi-dressed up. The cost of living here is generally lower than most other parts of the country. It may take a while for you to find these things, because our second-rate news media doesn't really publicize them, but there are areas of beauty in our seemingly harsh desert environment. If you take a drive from Phoenix to Wickenberg on highway 60 for example ( in late March to mid April), you will be greeted with the most colorful desert wildflower display anywhere. Lots of things like this you'll gradually find out on your own living here like I did. I moved here from Minnesota about seven years ago, and while I've had some hard times financially and job-wise (better now) I don't regret moving here. Don't miss the cold snowy winters of the upper Midwest at all. Not even at Christmastime. This is the place to be, sepecially in winter. It can be somewhat hard to get to know people here - I moved here on my own without knowing anyone here ahead of time, and didn't have any relatives or family here, so no support network - but I moved here anyhow, and did gradually get to know a few people. People here tend to stick to their own social circles and its sometimes hard to break into that. If you belong to a particular ethnic group, or have family already here, it will be easier for you moving here, I ended up doing it the hard way, but I wanted to live in the American Southwest......... Others hot and dry hot, dry, limited things to do...more fake people than LA my life, lived in Scottsdale, AZ Hi!! very nice that plaec if you go thaer sweety yang man nice hot. nice pech.last yiu find dic ok my sweety bay~``` It is how you make it- the weather is tamale hot throughout the summer with dreamy winter weather- available everywhere,: Malls, shopping centers, parks; skate parks; water parks; tons of movie theaters, the 'Suns, Diamondbacks, and Cardinal games, live bands at many restaurants, nightlife in Scottsdale and Tempe, Art festivals, mountains for hiking, snow up north for skiing or snowboarding, hot air balloon rides, Grand Canyon, White water rafting, etc.... much to do downfalls: crappy traffic, always a line at the majority of the restaurants and events- and most of the folks are.....
