Travel Tips If you are looking for an area where you might find a large African American cultural community and events, most likely South Phoenix around 24th St to 7th Ave and Baseline to Broadway and the South Mountain Community Center has many events. There is also a lot of Hispanic culture and shops in this region mixed in. Eastlake Recreation Center on Jefferson & 16th St has African drumming & dance classes on Saturday early afternoons for free. Others Downtown Phoenix. Phoenix, and good luck, this is a racist country, but Arizona is even more racist than some places. I think there is good community in Tempe too. I thought you were black asking where many other blacks are. If you aren't gee, any suburb, but like the other responder said we live everywhere. You should be able to find a community without many blacks somewhere in AZ. Scottsdale... near the Golf Course... and behind the Polo Field I'm not racist. But thank you for stereotyping. That's the way most racist think. Black people live all over the US. They don't live in just one city or a particular few cities.
