Whats it like to go on a hot air balloon ride? |
Travel Info do tell i really want to go on one..and i'm afraid of heights! Travel Tips i went on one last year over the valley of the kings in luxor Egypt it was fantastic and well worth the risk of over coming my fear I booked in the evening and went at 6.00 the following morning, i stayed up all night with a bottle of wine, I do not like heights either. Others The neatest thing about the is the TOTAL quietness except for when they light the fire It was like standing on a cloud. I don't have a fear of heights, so I really loved watching the landscape and all. The feeling of weightlessness was awesome. I've been on three, one in Kenya over the Masai Mara, one in Cappadochia, Turkey, and one in Egypt over the Valley Of The Kings They were all great, but at $100 to $200 an hour it's not a cheap thrill! Once you are high up you don't really appreciate the height, just the incredible views! Philip I did it twice in Florida - it was amazing. What struck me most is how peaceful it is and calm. One of our friends is afraid of heights but she was so glad she did it. You don't feel any movement, it's incredibly still and calm. The only noise is from the flames/gas but that isn't constant. I'd certainly recommend it, it's a lot of fun. |
