Travel Tips
Winter Visitors in Phoenix are referred to as Snowbirds. As for the moocher comment, many of them own multiple homes and everything they own is paid for so why do you call them a person who lives off of the kindness of others, relying on other people for support. Show some respect!
I used to live in the greater area and am so glad I'm not there anymore.

or moochers in some cases....
Snow Birds
Snowbirds. PS: How about Winter...PS: They do not mostly live in Sun City anymore. There are tons of these communities now like: Sun City West, Sun City Grand and Surprise and not to mention many more on the East side of the Valley:
Leisure World (Mesa) and Gold Canyon Ranch in Apache Junction. Some of their bumper stickers say: "Don't Follow Me I'm Lost."
Learn how to spell...
They are called "Snow Birds"...and they bring with them money to help grow the economy...they are not "moochers"..as they usually own houses here and also pay taxes...If I lived in a snowy area I would also not want to shovel snow and freeze! Most of them are retired persons who just want to "Get Away"!!
