Narrowed My Destination..Phoenix or Ft. Meyers? |
Travel Info I narrowed my relocation destination down to Phoenix or Ft. Meyers. Can anyone help? I realize the ocean will be missing from AZ, but other than that, what are the pros and cons of each. I will need to work. This isn't a retirement move. Thanks! Travel Tips Do you like the heat? Have you visited PHX ever? Spent time there in oh, say JUNE, JULY, AUGUST,>> It's ony May and already they hit 99*-- Dry , yes, but HOT. Like walking into a broiling oven. Side walks are HOT enough to fry an egg on... if you have pets, you walk them before 10-11 am... then wait till after 7 to do so again. Between 4 & 6 or so the sun slips behind mtns, cooling off the city somewhat, but the day's heat rises UP from the street... It becomes the hotest part of the day. You will learn how to work around the heat. Love it, or hate it. Stay or leave. Ft. Meyers, I've never been, but it's Fla. MOsIT. Damp. BUGS. No bugs in PHX... too hot.. wings burn up I guess... Never in 3 years living there did I see flying bugs. ANTS. yes. Bugs that fly, no. Do you have family? Are they coming with you? What do you do for a living? Like crowds? Traffic? Phx has both. Others job market tight but constantly growing, in accounting should not S B a problem, depending 2 on WHERE in PHX U go Housing ranges in price, but figure $800. p/m 4 a apt., If U look hard&B careful of neighborhoods you can land a rental house. Ft myers is a nice place but rent is at least1500! Cape coral and sanbelle island are nearby and a very growing area I think with so much growth you can always be employed. I think a pro would be ft myers airport is nearby and flys everywhere. |
