Arizona does not have a wide selection of amusement parks. There is Castles 'n Coasters by Metrocenter in Phoenix, but I wouldn't exactly call that an amusement park. Castles 'n Coasters has mini golf, go-carts and 2 small rollercoasters.
Other than that, Phoenix has 3 waterparks, Waterworld in North Phoenix, Golfland Sunsplash, and Big Surf. The waterparks are strictly water slides and don't have any rides.
Basically most Arizonans go to California or other states to go to a big amusement park. But there is other things to do in AZ like spring training (baseball), hiking, and other stuff you have everywhere like bowling, movies, shopping, etc.

Other than some rides at Metro Center, in Northwest Phoenixthere are no amusement parks anywhere in AZ.
Only some waterparks around the Phoenix area.
Well, there are several water parks here, with the summers being 120 and all. Other than that there is only Castles and Coasters, which gets old really fast. But if it helps, California is only 7 hours away and they have great amusment parks!
there really aren't amusement parks. there is a zoo and castles and coasters but castles and coasters in my opinion are in a very unsafe area and I wouldn't go there. But there are lots of nice areas to visit like Sedona, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon. Lots of nice restaurants, malls and bars mostly in Scottsdale, new sports arenas in the very far west side of Phoenix. I like it here and you might too. Plus Las vegas is just 5 hours away by car and the beach towardsCali and Mexico are close too. But there is plenty to do here.
I am realtor and kinda know the area. If you need guidance on an area to live visit www.theagroupazhomes.com
There aren't any in AZ worth mentioning. Disneyland is about 5-6 hours west. :) We used to drive there almost every month when we had year passes (before children).
there IS an amusement park, small but its okay "Castles and Coasters" in Phoenix
