I have a job offer in Coolidge, AZ and wanted to know about the area as far as prices for rentals, crime, etc: |
Travel Info Nice place to live or not?Traffic etc. Where to live? Travel Tips http://www.coolidgeaz.com/ Here is the official city site. I am from Phoenix and I have to warn you: It gets extremely hot here. Other than that, it's a great place to live. You will be about halfway between Phoenix and Tucson. There isn't much to do in Coolidge but Phoenix and Tucson always have something good going on. Traffic in Coolidge isn't bad - it's a small town. Others Coolidge has an older area and a budding new area. Actually, if you're looking for a new house, some of the best deals in the area can be found in Coolidge. The homes are definitely cheaper than nearby Casa Grande or Phoenix. Not sure about the rental situation.. The shopping situation is pretty dismal in Coolidge; Walmart is the highpoint. You'll have to head out of town for a good movie theater...or even a round of miniature golf. There's an outlet mall at nearby Casa Grande, and a new shopping center is under construction. Otherwise, you'll have to head into greater Phoenix for major shopping and entertainment. Head to the Coolidge High football games in the fall; Coolidge loves HS football. I hear the Coolidge HS band is really terrific...some great new band teacher is there (ha, ha...my son!) well..its an old town that is getting rediscovered. not much out there and your quite a drive from the city and phoenix airport. as for prices they should be very reasonable. good luck to you. perhaps you want to consider calling the city of coolidge for better information |
