How come Tucson likes being a poor city? |
Travel Info I mean, some lady once admited the powers that be are actually doingthis on purpose as to keep the wage labor bill as small as possible. Also They like to see Tucson as a Winter Resort for the Rich SnowBirds and celebrities who come every winter. But also why is it Phoenix happens to be so different in economy as opposed to Tucson, where you'll be lucky to find a job that pays $8/hour?Explain that one to me please! Travel Tips Because being a "rich city" is so last year. Tucson is a city that's always been ahead of its time and right now, a lot of cities want to "attract jobs" or "increase industry" or "improve public housing" or "reduce homelessness". I mean, EVERY city is trying to do those things. Tucson likes being a city for the individualistic mindset, and bringing "wealth" in is what everybody's trying to do, but who's trying to court the minimum wage worker? Who's trying to court the welfare earners? Who's trying to court the day laborers? That's Tucson baby, and Providence, RI. Providence is kind of the Tucson of the East Coast. If you can't find the right $8/hour job in Tucson, I'm sure you'll find the right job in Providence, but paying about $2 less. Dude, get out of Tucson and come to Phoenix, seriously. Others Where do U get the idea that Tuscon is "one giant person"...that they all think the same?? OK... this question is just plain illogical !! Enuf said !! With your previous questions, you seem to hate Tucson. Why do you live here ? I Love it ! Sorry you can't experience the good things about this town. ( I have 2 part time jobs here and both pay over $8.00 an hour) And the only reason I have 2 part time jobs is because I want it that way, not because I have too. Where do you want to live? They make buses. GO! I live in rural OK and we are saving to move to Tucson. My husband was in the "Tucson Boys Chorus" as a child, and he has been back several times. We can't wait to move there. We will be retired, too. We love the desert, the indian and hispanic cultures, and there are hardly any tornadoes to worry about. Snow-birds (often) are people who have chosen to work and save so they can live where they want. They have done what they have to do to live in 2 favorite places. Is that a bad thing? You want that, go get it. Your map to the future is in college. I have lived in 14 states and Guam. I loved each one for what it offered. When I wanted to, I moved. Hey Moron: Get a life and maybe also a decent education so you might "qualify" for a job paying over $8 an hour. Tucson is not intended to be like Phoenix and there are plenty of decent and well paying "salaried" jobs in Tucson and it is no more a Snowbird city than Phoenix. Your perspectives are way off so take your lame Tucson rants some where else! Try moving to either Nogales or Yuma for those real good jobs... :+) I already answered this question before, and YOU gave me two stars and picked it as "best answer", WHY are you still asking it??????????? :( Tucson wants to be "Old West", period! They DON'T want to be like Phoenix or L.A.!!!! :) |
