Does anyone have any sugestions for Phoenix AZ? |
Travel Info If you have been to Phoenix or the surounding area, or if you are from AZ, what would be the top 5 things a person would want to do or visit while in the area? Travel Tips 1) Climb a Mountain Phoenix is a great place to do so because there are so many trails with beautiful views. I climbed one mountain and could see the whole city! Make sure you climb early in the morning before it gets hot. 2) See a Spring Training Game Yes, you do have to go in spring to do this, but it is the best time of year. If you are a baseball fan, this is a great time to get autographs and just relax and enjoy a game. The weather in Arizona is so beautiful, you would be foolish not to take some time for yourself. Swim, eat, lounge, tan or go to the spa. Whatever it is, enjoy it while it lasts! I've lived in AZ my whole life and most of that time in Phoenix. Phoenix is a big time sports town, so anything to do with that is always good, i.e. catch a game of some kind, go play golf (Phoenix has more golf courses than any other city in the world). Tons of great restaurants. The best Mexican food in the country, trust me I've eaten Mexican food all over the US. Lots of good breweries, Sonoran Brew House being my favorite. Sedona- the red rocks are beautiful. Jerome- old mining ghost down near Sedona that's sliding off the mountain. Flagstaff- skiing at snow bowl or just hiking- gorgeous views. Scottsdale- golf, shopping and excellent dining. Downtown Phoenix- check out the ball park, arena, ect. |
