Is Flagstaff Arizona liberal or conservative? |
Travel Info Which one would you? Travel Tips It leans liberal, due to nearby NAU, and the forests ("tree-huggers".) In fact, Coconino County, where Flagstaff is, is one of the few counties in Arizona that always tends to vote "blue" - Democrat majority - in a sea of red, particularly down in much more conservative Phoenix. Others I think they lean towards the right. Does it really matter??? they are tree huggers! they are a very liberal city. Well, I can't be completely sure, but the fact that it has "palm-readers" on just about every corner (!) makes me think it leans just a tad to the left... I have a friend who lives up there and according to her, most local residents are probably on the conservative side. But NAU is up there and a lot of college professors tend to be liberal, as well as a good portion of it's students. Since it is a college town, it's pretty balanced out. but AZ is, sadly, a mainly republican state. (lots of old people moved out here for reirement......) |
