Travel Info Phoenix? Is it a suitable place to take a 7 yr. old child for an outing? Travel Tips Is that the IMAX screen inside the center? Don't know the name of it, just call it IMAX :-) AZ Science Center is an excellent place for a 7-year-old in general. It's name can be misleading because for the most part this is a children's museum with lots of hands on and interactive exhibits. The 3rd floor lab is a hit with all the kids. The theatre shows a variety of films so it depends on what is showing and your child's attention span. It is excellent 3-D images though. The planetarium does a shorter show designed as a "storytime" that is good for younger ones as well. If you go to their website, you can see what is playing and what the current special exhibit is. If you go the first Saturday of the month, Carriage House (right behind the center) does free crafts for kids from 11-1. |
